Companies must maintain a respiratory protection program to keep employees safe and that is in compliance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standards. Not only does BicoLabor provide fully Respirator Medically Evaluated and Fit Test Certified labor as a standard business practice, but also provides Respirator Medical Evaluations and Qualitative Fit Testing Certifications for organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualitative Fit Testing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

BicoLabor Staff will conduct on-site qualitative fit testing using OHSA’s Accepted Irritant Smoke Fit Test Protocols <\/a>as prescribed in Appendix A to \u00a71910.134. This protocol of qualitative fit testing uses an individual’s reaction to stannic chloride to detect leakage into the individual’s respirator. Please note that only high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) or P100 series filters can be used for this fit test.<\/em> All individuals being Fit Tested are required to be bring their own respirator and filters. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Medical Evaluations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

OSHA mandates that every respirator user must complete a medical evaluation before their Fit Test is conducted. BicoLabor will send individuals a secure, encrypted, and HIPAA-compliant communication where their medical evaluations can be completed and returned. Prior to starting the Fit Testing Protocols, BicoLabor’s on-staff Licensed Medical Professional will review the questionnaires to make sure the individuals are medically about to wear a respirator.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Upon successful clearance of Medical Evaluation and Respirator Fit Test, the individual will receive a certification verifying they have completed the required OSHA Medical Evaluation and Qualitative Fit Test for the organizations records. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
